University of Ghana to appeal on ruling on dons

Accra, June 16, GNA 96 The University of Ghana said on Friday that it would appeal against the decision of an Accra Fast Track High Court that reversed the decision to remove Professor Edward Ofori-Sarpong from the position of Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana and the dismissal of Professor Kwasi Agyeman, Head of the Philosophy Department.
A statement the Registrar of the University, Mr Teddy Konu signed on Friday said: The University of Ghana has had the opportunity of studying His Lordship Justice Baffoe Bonnie=92s ruling on the motion brought against the University by Professor Edward Ofori-Sarpong and Professor Kwasi Agyeman. =93The University is aggrieved by the ruling of His Lordship. Accordingly, the University will exercise its right of appeal to the Court of Appeal.=94 16 June 06
