Assembly constructs office block for Amenfi East GES

Wassa-Akropong(W/R), May 08, GNA – A 262 million cedis three-unit office block with a store for the Wassa-Amenfi East District Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) was inaugurated at Wassa-Akropong on Friday. It was financed from the Assembly’s share of the Common Fund and direct labour.

Madam Doris Gyapomaah Oduro, the District Chief Executive inaugurating the project at Wassa-Akropong, said quality education was the key to steady development and poverty reduction. Therefore, she said the assembly would support programmes that would bring quality education to doorsteps of the people. Madam Oduro pointed out that a lot was expected of personnel of the directorate to improve on standard of education in the area. Mr George Jerry Hanson, the District Director of Education, commended the assembly for the project and pledged that it would be put to good use.
