Factory hand in court for defiling niece

Accra, Dec. 22, GNA – A factory hand, who defiled his four-year-old niece, was on Thursday granted bail by an Accra Circuit Court to reappear on January 16, next year. Nii Kwartey Quartey pleaded not guilty.

Police Inspector I. A. Ahor told the court presided over by Mr S.K. Asiedu that the victim and lives with her mother and the factory hand at Laterbiokorshie in Accra. Inspector Ahor said at about 1630 hours on November 12 when the victim was sleeping in her mother’s room, the accused sneaked in and defiled her. When the victim’s mother returned to the house she reported her ordeal to her. The Police were informed and he was arrested.
