Mac Manu is new NPP Chairman

Peter Mac Manu has been elected as the chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party. He replaces, Haruna Esseku, who declined to contest for re-election amidst controversy over his comments about alleged corruption at the presidency. Mr. Manu polled 711 votes to beat the other candidate for the position, Steve Ntim, who polled 635 votes in elections during the party’s national delegates’ congress in Accra.
Other new executives of the NPP are as folows:
First vice chair – Hawa Yakubu Ogede
Second vice chair – Agnes Adjovi Okudjeto
Third vice chair – Abdul Rahman Musa
General Secretary – Nana Ohene Ntow
National Organiser – Lord Commey
Youth Organiser – John Boadu
National Treasurer – Gifty Ama Asantewaa Aryeh
Women’s Organiser – Rita Asobayire
