Pru constituency NPP smoke peace pipe

Yeji (B/A), Nov 10, GNA – Peace has returned to the Pru Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) following the settling of an impasse between Alhaji Gariba Iddrisu, the District Chief Executive, and the party’s youth.

The youth had alleged that Alhaji Iddrisu, supported the current executive members of the party to the dissatisfaction of the youth and some members of the old executives who lost their positions. They also accused Alhaji Iddrisu of not considering their views and consequently imposed his views and ideas on them. Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmed Abass, Brong-Ahafo Regional Coordinator and Alhaji Mahazu Mahama, National Patron of Nasara Club initiated the settlement at a meeting with the party executives and the youth at Yeji.

Alhaji Iddrisu said the allegations were false and asked the youth to rather cooperate with him to ensure the smooth running of the district.

Alhaji Abass thanked the DCE and the youth for coming to terms with the situation and appealed to the party executives to quickly address the concerns of the youth. He called on the youth to exercise restraint and cooperate with the DCE in the running of the party, the district and the constituency for the well being of all.
