November 3 declared public holiday

Accra, Oct. 26, GNA – Thursday November 3 has been declared statutory public holiday, a statement from the Ministry of the Interior signed by Papa Owusu-Ankoma said on Wednesday.

The statement said the Ministry had been informed by the National Headquarters of the Hilal Committee of Ghana that the Eid-Ul- Fitr would be celebrated on Thursday November 3, 2005 and “in accordance with section one of the Public Holiday Act 2001 (ACT 601), Thursday, November 3 is declared a statutory public holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country”.
