Court grants 50 million cedis bail to suspected narcotic drug dealer

Juaso (Ash), Sept 21, GNA – The Juaso circuit court on Monday granted a loading boy 50 million cedis bail with one surety to be justified for possessing narcotic drugs.

Yaw Donkor was alleged to have possessed heroin and cocaine, which weighed 3.489 and 1.375 grammes respectively. He pleaded not guilty to the charge and will re-appear on October 5.

Chief Inspector Stephen Opare told the court that a police patrol team spotted Donkor and some others now at large and they took to their heels when they saw the patrol team.

The team chased them and arrested Donkor while the rest escaped.

The drugs were found on him when he was searched.
