Aflao,(V/R) July 26, GNA – One of three young kente weavers, alleged to have murdered an unidentified lady at Klikor in the Ketu District, whose vital body organs they removed and sent for sale in Nigeria, have been arrested upon a tip-off, when he resurfaced. Elo Dodzi, 22, have since Thursday, July 21, appeared before the Aflao circuit court, under a provisional charge of murder. His plea was not taken, and has been remanded in police custody to re-appear on Monday, August 8, this year.
Police Chief Inspector Kofi Frimpong of Aflao, prosecuting, told the court, presided over by Mr. Godwin Kwasi-Kumah that, the accused and two others named only as Dotse and Geoffrey, all kente weavers, shuttled between Klikor, near Agbozume, their home town and Nigeria with their trade.
Chief Inspector Frimpong said on their return to Klikor, and under a pretext, one of them befriend an unidentified young lady, who they murdered in March last year, removed certain vital organs of the body and buried the corpse in a shallow grave in an uncompleted building near the Lord Brotherhood Church building at Klikor. He said Dodzi and the two now at large took the body parts with them for sale in Nigeria, and in July, this year, the police, upon tip off, arrested Dodzi when he resurfaced. Chief Inspector Frimpong said a police team visited the crime scene, and identified the shallow grave and found a thighbone and a skull have partly protruded.
A Police Crime Scene Inspection Team is being awaited from Accra to exhume the body for further examination and investigations, he said. July 26 05
