Citizens expose land guards

Iron City(C/R), July 21, GNA – A group resident at Tuba near Iron City in the Central Region, have pledged to expose criminals and land guards terrorizing developers in the area.

A spokesperson for the group numbering more than 20, gave the promise when they met the executives of the Iron City Central Mechanics and Spare Parts Dealers Association (CMSPDA).

Mr Isaiah A. Arkoh, Administrative Officer of the Association, made the pledge at an emergency executive meeting of the Association at Iron City on Tuesday.

He said that members of the group had provided the names of the ringleaders of the land guards.

Mr. Alex Acquah and Mr Alex Yankey, Vice Chairman and Risk Manager, respectively said that the names of the suspected land guards had been sent to the law enforcing authorities.

The group said their action was prompted by the desire to ensure peace and tranquility in the area.

The Executives of CMSPDA expressed their appreciation to the group and promised to collaborate with them and the Chiefs of Tuba curb the activities of the land guards.
