Presbyterian youth cleans up hospital

Tamale, June 27, GNA – The Presbyterian Church of Ghana- Tamale Urban Committee on Youth Ministry, has undertaken a three-hour clean up exercise at the Tamale West Hospital. The exercise involved weeding in and around the hospital premises and the de-silting of chocked gutters.

After the exercise the Youth Ministry also presented a quantity of sachet Omo, Lux, toilet roll and parozone to the hospital. Mr Raphael Asenso-Agyemang, the District Organiser of the Tamale Urban Committee on Youth Ministry, said the exercise and the donation of the items was part of their social responsibility to keep the environment clean.

He urged other organizations to join in assisting the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly to keep the city clean.

Mr Asenso-Agyemang said the Youth Wing of the Church had drawn up a programme to regularly carry out clean-up exercises at various institutions and the metropolis in general. Mrs Janet Ackon, the matron who received the items and thanked the Presbyterian Youth for the ”wonderful work” they had done for the hospital.
