Abuakwa Presbytery observes women’s anniversary

Akim Osino (E/R), May 25, GNA – The Presbyterian Church of Ghana Women’s Fellowship under the Akim Abuakwa Presbytery has held its 33rd annual conference at Akim Osino in the Fanteakwa District. The four-day conference was under the theme: “Love, faith and unity among humanity.”

Preaching the sermon at a closing service, the chairperson of the Presbytery, Rev. Ernest O. Darkwa, asked Christians to embrace the spirit of love, faith and unity in dealing with one another. He said Christians should rely on Jesus Christ for their salvation and lead exemplary lives worthy of emulation, especially in forgiving those who offend them.

The chairperson for the occasion, Mr Kwadjo Acheampong-Sakyi, headmaster of the Osino Presbyterian Secondary School, advised parents to be watchful of their wards and take full responsibility for their education.

He said parents should co-operate with teachers in moulding the character of their children. A total amount of 13.1 million cedis was realised at the rally.
