(Credit Boakye Baafi, New Edubiase) New Edubiase (Ash), May 9, GNA-Four Institutions have donated cash and materials to the Adansi South District Education Office towards this year’s Best Teachers Awards Day in the area.
They are the District Assembly that gave out 10 million cedis, AngloGold Ashanti that presented a 14-inch coloured television, the Adansi Traditional Council, which made available three million cedis and the Atobiase Rural Bank, which donated a gas cylinder and a burner. Nana Appiah Danquah, an Assistant Director of Education in charge of Human Resource, who made these known to the GNA, said the District Education Directorate, was grateful for the assistance. He noted that presentation of awards to hardworking teachers was an effective way of motivating them to work hard to raise the standards of education.
Nana Danquah urged individuals and organisations to support the Best Teachers Awards Day to motivate teachers to work assiduously to improve the country’s education.
Nana Danquah hoped other institutions and individuals would be motivated by the gesture to also make some donations. 9 May 05
