BECE invigilators warned against malpractices

New Edubiase, (Ash), April.17, GNA-Mr Steve Amankwaa, Adansi South district examinations officer has warned those who have been employed by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) to supervise and invigilate this year’s BECE against any involvement in examination malpractices. He said they should rather be watchful and firm and resist any possible influences by candidates to have chance to cheat. Mr Amankwaa gave the advice at a meeting with BECE supervisors and invigilators in the district at New Edubiase on Friday. He entreated them to search the candidates thoroughly before they entered examination halls.

Mr Amankwaa asked the officials not to intimidate the candidates but provide a conducive environment for them to write their exams. He announced that about 1882 candidates from 55 schools were expected to write the exams at eight centres in the district. Mr Amankwaa cautioned the candidates to desist from any behaviour that might go against the WAEC rules and regulations. He appealed to teachers whose children were going to write the examinations not to interfere during period, adding that, those found to be interfering would be arrested and prosecuted.
