The Ashanti regional Police Command have today arrested 33 drug dealers and users in an afternoon swoop at various hideouts in the Kumasi metropolis. The police assisted by KMA task force rounded up the suspected drug addicts at Krofrom, Ashanti new town and Suame. When our correspondent got to the central police station this afternoon, the police were yet to take their statements. The 33 addicts, three of who! were women looked emaciated and were trembling at the feet and fingers. A source at the police station who decided to give details of the exercise without approval from his superiors indicated that the suspects would be arraigned before court tomorrow.
