Hairdressers receives dryers

Tepa-Ash. Mar 24, GNA – The Ahafo Ano North District Assembly has presented eight hair dryers valued at 10 million cedis to United Hairdressers Association at Tepa to be given to its members as part of the Assembly’s poverty alleviation programme.

Each beneficiary is to pay back the cost of dryers costing 1.5 million cedis within ten months.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Mr Akwasi Adu Poku, the District Chief Executive said it is the policy of the government to promote private sector development and self-employment in the country He advised the beneficiaries to work hard and pay back the money to the revolving fund for the benefit of their colleagues. He appealed to the association to ensure that their members pay their taxes regularly as good citizens to enable the government and the District Assembly realize money to undertake more development projects in the district.

Receiving the items on behalf of the association, Nana Ama Akyiaa, the President thanked the district assembly and the district advisory centre of the NBSSI for their support and encouragement.
