Use projects judiciously – Minister

Hwidiem (B/A), Feb. 12, GNA – Mr. Yaw Adjei-Duffuor, Deputy Brong Ahafo Regional Minister at the weekend commissioned a 1.9 billion cedis school block at Hwidiem with a call on beneficiary communities to make judicious use of projects for the realization of the goals of donors. Trotro Board and OUDE BENK Foundation, two Danish non-governmental organisations, constructed the block, which has a canteen, library and toilet for the Local Authority Primary and Junior Secondary Schools. The Deputy Minister emphasized that the government was determined to work closely with the private sector in providing quality education and commended the two Danish NGOs for their assistance.

Mrs. Akubuor Debrah, Regional Director of Education stressed that the nation depended on the quality education offered to its citizens and advised the management of the schools to work harder towards their development.

She commended the traditional council for its cordial relationship with the donors.

Osuodumgya Barima Kwame Bonsu, Omanhene of Hwidiem Traditional Area, appealed to the Regional Education Directorate to help provide a community library and a technical workshop.
