Sunyani Dec 17, GNA- The Brong Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs, has congratulated President John Agyekum Kufuor on his re-election for another four- year term.
A statement issued in Sunyani by the President of the House, Nana Okatakyie Agyeman Kudom IV Nkoranzahene, also congratulated Professor John Evans Atta Mills, the Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic congress, Dr Edward Mahama, of the Grand Coalition and Mr. George Aggudey of the Convention People’s Party for conceding defeat in the interest of peace.
It said the House was appreciative of the professional manner the Electoral Commission, the security agencies; the judiciary and the media played conducted themselves in ensuring free, fair and peaceful election.
“We hope the New Patriotic Party will maintain the cordial relationship between the chiefs and people of the Region and continue the development projects already initiated to make Positive Change Chapter Two a success”.
