Nkoranza District office of CHRAJ handles complaints

Nkoranza (B/A) Oct. 26, GNA- The Nkoranza District office of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) received 49 complaints from July to the end of September this year.

Mrs. Joyce Boahen, District Director of the Commission told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Nkoranza on Friday that the complaints involved child and spouse maintenance, paternal inheritance, divorce cases, tenancy, and unlawful destruction of property.

She said 18 of the complaints had been resolved, one transferred, one withdrawn, two abandoned, one dismissed with 26 still pending. She said during the period, the Commission carried out 4 public educational programmes on child maintenance and parental responsibility as well as children’s rights and responsibilities.

Mrs. Boahen stressed the need for the public to patronize its activities for advice.
