The Acting President of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG), Benjamin Otoo, has instructed members not to recognise or implement appointments being circulated within the Association until the High Court determines their validity.
In a press release dated October 6, 2026, the Office of the Acting President said the appointments were disputed and remained before the court.
The statement was addressed to CLOGSAG members, Regional and Branch Executives, the media and the general public. It said the High Court had scheduled a date to determine the matter, although it did not specify when the hearing would take place or identify who had brought the case.

Mr Otoo called on Regional Executives, District Executives and other members to disregard any notices, directives or administrative measures connected to the purported appointments.
They were also told not to put those appointments into effect while the court considers whether they are valid.
The Office of the Acting President said the instruction applied to both Regional and District Executives, which should not recognise or act on the disputed appointments before the court delivers its ruling.
Mr Otoo urged members to remain calm and law-abiding, while continuing to protect the unity and institutional integrity of CLOGSAG.
The statement said the Office of the Acting President remained committed to safeguarding the Association’s institutional integrity, property and collective interests. It also appealed to all stakeholders to exercise restraint and respect the judicial process.
