Bechem United Vow to Challenge League Leaders Medeama in High-Stakes Tarkwa Clash

Bechem United assistant coach Mallam Yahaya says his side is ready to challenge league leaders Medeama Sporting Club when the two teams meet in a crucial Week 11 fixture of the Ghana Premier League on Saturday.

The Hunters travel to the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa with the aim of breaking Medeama’s strong home record, a task Yahaya admits will demand discipline, courage and the right mindset.

Speaking to Bechem United TV ahead of the encounter, the assistant coach said the team has worked tirelessly to address its weaknesses and is determined not to repeat last season’s defeat at the same venue.

“Medeama are one of the best in the league this season. We are also working and we are working on the shortcomings in the team,” Yahaya said.
“We are preparing very well because we don’t want to lose any points, whether away or at home. We respect them, but we will play to fight for the points.”

Despite acknowledging the strength of the Yellow and Mauves, Yahaya expressed confidence that the result is far from predetermined.

“We lost there last season does not mean we will lose again. Everything can happen in football, and the mentality we take into the game is very important,” he added.

The match is scheduled for Saturday, 22 November, with kick-off set for 15:30 GMT at the TnA Stadium, where both sides will be seeking to strengthen their positions in the 2025/26 Premier League campaign.
