The Executive Director of Educate Africa Institute (EAI), William Boadi, has lauded President John Dramani Mahama for his stirring address at the 80th United Nations General Assembly. He described the President’s speech as a bold and visionary call for Africa’s rightful place in global governance, and a powerful reminder of the continent’s growing role in shaping the future of the world.
Mr. Boadi noted that President Mahama’s emphasis on Africa’s projected population growth and demand for a permanent seat on the UN Security Council reflects the urgent need for inclusion and fairness in global decision-making. He also praised the President’s strong stance on reparations for the transatlantic slave trade, describing it as a courageous call for justice to address the deep scars and lasting effects of one of history’s greatest crimes.
He further commended the President for drawing attention to pressing global challenges, including climate change and ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Sudan, stressing that his call for collective action demonstrates true statesmanship. According to Mr. Boadi, President Mahama’s leadership continues to amplify Africa’s voice on the global stage while championing peace, equity, and sustainability.
“President Mahama’s message that ‘the future is African’ is both inspirational and timely,” Mr. Boadi said. “At Educate Africa Institute, we fully align with his vision of a stronger, more inclusive Africa that partners with the world in building a just and prosperous future. His speech is not only a source of pride for Ghana but also a beacon of hope for the entire continent.”
