Ghana’s transformation requires the active participation of all citizens, not just the President, according to Cardinal Peter Appiah Turkson.

Speaking at the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Service at the State House forecourt, Cardinal Turkson called on Ghanaians to embrace a renewed sense of patriotism and civic duty.

“The transformation of Ghana is not the sole responsibility of the President, but a shared duty that requires the active participation of all citizens,” he emphasized.

He stressed that meaningful national development can only be achieved when every individual contributes to the common good. The service, attended by leaders of various faiths and political figures, marked a moment of spiritual reflection and national purpose.

The event was held to commemorate Ghana’s Republic Day on July 1, highlighting the importance of unity and shared responsibility in building a better Ghana.
