Yaa Afosaa installed Ohemaa of Kokofu family

Nkoranza (Brong Ahafo) 2 Dec. ’98 Miss Elizabeth Yaa Afosaa, a 45 year old nurse at the Kings College Hospital in London was at the weekend installed queen mother, under the stool name Obaahemma Yaa Bentu, by the Kokofu family of Nkoranza.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nana Kwabena Effah, Kokofuhene, urged members of the family to ensure unity and co-operation among themselves to enhance the development of the family.

Nana Effah urged the youth to guard against social vices such as wee smoking, drunkenness and pilfering and hoped that they would support the queen mother to serve well.

An elder of the family and Saanaahene of Nkoranza traditional area Nana Opoku Baah Bentu pledged that he would do his best to bring about development in the Kokofu family and called for support and co-operation.

He urged the youth to respect authority and lead lives worthy of emulation.

Obaahemaa Yaa Bentu was grateful to the family .
