NDC elects candidate for Ho-Central Constituency

Ho, July 2, GNA – Captain George Kofi Nfodjoh (rtd), 57, former Ho District Chief Executive (DCE), was on Friday elected the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for the Ho-Central at the Party’s primaries in Ho.

He polled 93 votes to defeat three other contestants, Mr Hanock Davis Kwasi Bansa, a Consultant, Engineer and Hydrologist, who had 69 votes; Mr Benjamin Komla Kpodo, Finance Officer, Winneba University of Education, 68 votes and Dr Gameli Kwame Norgbe, Senior Medical Officer at the Koforidua Government Hospital, 12 votes.

Capt Nfodjoh, a Journalist, who was with the Public Relations Department of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), advised the NDC delegates and contestants to put behind them any rivalry and forge ahead as a team.

He promised to continue with the work of Mr Kofi Attoh, the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) and cooperate with all for total victory for the Party.

Mr Modestus Ahiable, Volta Regional Chairman of the NDC, called on supporters to do away with petty squabbles and to unite for the development of the Region.

Mr Attoh urged supporters of the Party to work hard and wrest power from the New Patriotic Party.
