Security man saves suspected armed robber from being lynched

A 27 year-old man suspected to be an armed robber was saved from mob action on Tuesday evening by the security man of the Accra College of Education.

Students of the Institution have been robbed of their valuables including their laptops, bags and other personal belongings; an act which has angered the students and have vowed to subject any individual caught in the act of stealing to severe beatings.

“Our Phones, Laptops,Bags, and our learning materials were missing anyhow without knowing who is behind such acts, Our Big Flat Screen television which was for the school got missing and up to date who took it we don’t know hence the challenges we are facing now is stealing and we are suspecting Yaw Opoku is the main cause.”

Narrating the incident to mynewsgh.com, a student in an interview said Yaw Opoku was spotted by some students in the act of stealing a wheelbarrow from the school’s dining hall and since they had vowed not to leave any thief to chance pounced on him and subjected him to severe beatings.

He indicated that the security in the school got wind of the act and came around to save Yaw Opoku.

The Suspect has since been sent to Legon Police Station for further investigations.
