Examination centres must have First Aid boxes- Educationist

Techiman (B/A) April 25, GNA- Mr Joseph Ankomah, Techiman Municipal Secretary of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has called for the provision of first aid boxes at public examination centres.

He said some of the candidates suddenly fell sick at the centres and they had to be rushed to the hospital or clinic thus disrupting work at the centres.

The GNAT Secretary made the call when he toured some examination centres of the just-ended Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the municipality.

He visited Techiman Secondary School, Tuobodom, Offuman, Nsuta, Asuogyaman and Buoyem.

Mr Ankomah expressed the hope that the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the Ghana Education Service (GES) would ensure that first aid boxes are provided.
