Indian hemp peddlers to be chased out of their hideouts

Techiman (B/A), April 25, GNA- A military cum Police task force is to clamp down on Indian hemp peddlers and smokers from their hideouts in the Techiman municipality.

Mr Isaac Osei-Antwi, Municipal Chief Executive who disclosed this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said it had come to the notice of the Assembly that the illegal practice had been going on in some of the newly completed storerooms in the town.

There had been an increase in pickpocket and rape cases on innocent women, he said and warned that anyone caught in that act would be firmly dealt with. 25 April 04
