Accra and its surrounding areas experienced their first major rainfall at dawn today. Figures from the Meteorological Services Department say Accra recorded 13.6 millimetres of rain while Tema recorded 12.0 millimetres. The rainstorm which hit Accra at dawn is expected to hit the Central and Western regions this morning. The weather is however expected to be hot and humid today, with daytime temperatures getting to about 34 degrees Celsius.
