CAA donates billboards to KMA

Kumasi, March 25, GNA – The Commercial Artists Association (CAA) in Kumasi on Thursday presented four billboards worth 60 million cedis to the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA).

The facilities, which would be erected at four major entry routes in Kumasi, have been inscribed with messages that sought to alert individuals entering the city to adhere to road safety and traffic regulations and also to ensure good sanitation practices in order to keep the city clean.

The presentation of the billboards coincided with the formal inauguration of the association.

Mr Ismaila Imoro, President of the association, said members were currently training about 200 apprentices to acquire skills to enable them to establish their own businesses.

He gave the assurance that artists and sign writers would work hard towards the development of the country.

In an address read for him, Mr Sampson Kwaku Boafo, Ashanti Regional Minister, advised members of the association to use their creativity and ingenuity to create wealth for themselves and the country.

He urged the youth to promote unity in the country and to abstain drug abuse and other practices that could affect their health and development.
