It will be illegal to carry things on your head if I become President – Ayariga

The 2016 All People’s Congress flagbearer Hassan Ayariga has expressed dissatisfaction with the NPP’s 100 days in office.

According to him President Akufo-Addo has failed to meet the expectations of head porters.

He also said even though he endorsed President Mahama in the 2016 elections, he knew the NDC candidate was going to lose Flagbearer and founder of the All People’s Congress, Hassan Ayariga has revealed that he will ban the carrying of things on people’s head when he becomes President of Ghana.

Mr Ayariga was speaking in an interview with Super Morning Show host, Kojo Yankson on the state of the country after the 100 days of Nana Akufo-Addo’s presidency.

According to Ayariga, the NPP administration has failed to curb the plight of head porters popularly known as ‘Kayayei’ despite promises to change things if elected into office.

“When I am President, it will be illegal to carry things on your head,” he said.

For him, President Nana Akufo-Addo and his team of ministers had failed woefully in the 100 days of being in office and as such made him an unhappy man.

“As a man, I am not happy with Nana Addo’s 100 days in government. I cried in my heart,” he added.

Hassan Ayariga broke away from the People’s National Convention in 2016 after he lost the bid to lead the party in the 2016 general elections to Dr. Edward Mahama.

He and some party members defected to form the All People’s Congress to wrestle power from the then ruling NDC government but was disqualified by Madam Charlotte Osei and the EC for clerical errors and signatures.
