Government has treated Mills shabbily – Cadman Mills

Dr. Cadaman Atta Mills, brother to late President John Evans Atta Mills, has stated that subsequent governments after the Mills-led government have treated his brother “shabbily” and unfairly.

According to Dr. Atta Mills, almost five years after his brother’s demise, government is yet to disclose to the family what the late president is entitled to as an Article 71 office holder.

“As far as the government is concerned and I make no difference from the NDC or NPP, they have treated president Mills shabbily,” Dr. Atta Mills told host of Starr Chat Bola Ray Wednesday.

Dr. Atta Mills added “Up till this day nobody has called me to say your brother died in office and according to this report your brother is entitled to this or that.”

The former Economic Advisor to the late President, however, added that a couple of people have been quite generous to the family after his brother’s demise due to their relationship with him.

The late President Mills died in office in June 2012, few months to the completion of his first term in office.
