Worst performing MPs ratings cooked – former MP

Paul Evans Aidoo a former Member of Parliament for Sefwi-Wiawso Constituency of the Western region has doubted the credibility of ratings of lawmakers of the 6th parliament put out by Odekro, a civil society organization.

The Former Western Regional Minister claims the ratings were cooked and financed by some faceless individuals without recourse to parliamentary duties and what it entails.

In his view, the findings were aimed at denting his hard won reputation considering the fact he served his constituents and gave off his best for the development of the area.

“I did very well and properly represent my people while in parliament. If I was not vocal in parliament how could I have been made a deputy chief whip”, he asked.

Paul Evans Aidoo scored 11.0% making him the worst performing MP in the 6th Parliament under the Fourth Republic.

But he said on Ultimate Breakfast Show hosted by Lantam Papanko that it was not representative of his performance stating “I won’t accept the ratings because I was a regional minister and my duties did not allow me to be in parliament all the time. I was always outside the country and parliament serving the interest of the country in various capacities. It is not possible for me to be in parliament and the region. What hindered my committee work were my additional duties as regional Minister”, he revealed

According to him, claims he never spoke in parliament are also untrue challenging Odekro and its team to refer to the parliamentary handsard where he championed the crusade for roads for his constituency among others.
