Agona West NPP will defeat NDC again

Agona Nyakrom (C/R), Feb 6, GNA- Alhaji Aliu Abass, a leading member of the Agona West Constituency branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has stated that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) would fall again in the 2004 parliamentary and presidential elections.

Speaking to the GNA in an interview on Thursday at Agona Nyakrom, Alhaji Abass said that Agona West NDC is in a dilemma of choosing even a candidate for the elections and this really showed that the opposition party is in trouble.

He said that Agona West NDC has no strategy and plan of action to snatch the seat NPP won in the 2000 parliamentary election, adding that NDC was having everything at its disposal in the year 2000 but could not maintain the seat.

He said although, Agona West NPP had its problems that would not let them loose the seat.

Alhaji Abass said NPP has done a lot for the constituency so he was sure that the electorates would return it to power. He called on the Agona West NPP executives and supporters to bury their differences and intensify the electioneering campaign.
