The retained NPP Member of Parliament for the Sunyani West Constituency, Mr Ignatius Baffour Awuah, has emphasized that his victory at the 2016 polls, was a victory for all the people of the Brong Ahafo region and the nation as a whole. He said his projection of victory for the NPPat the Presidential and Parliamentary elections has been vindicated as shown in the massive landslide achievement at the 2016 polls.
Mr Baffour Awuah was particularly overwhelmed by his party’s victory at Nsoatre in the Sunyani West Constituency, which has over the years been a safe haven for the NDC. He paid glowing tribute to Mr Adjei Darko, a veteran politician and ex-minister of State in the Kufour administration, whom he described as a great source of inspiration and motivation.
The MP-elect also used the opportunity to appeal to NPP supporters in the Brong Ahafo region Ghanaians in general to remain calm and celebrate in moderation when the Electoral Commission finally declares the results of the polls.
