Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: The newly elected Allegheny County Chief Executive, Dan Onorato has tapped a Ghanaian born entrepreneur, Joey Ahia to his transition team. The Chief Executive is the third most powerful politician in the State of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Ahia founded an electronic manufacturing services (EMS) company: – manufacturer of medical and consumer electronics, computer and computer related products. He is currently the Executive Director of the newly formed US-Africa High Tech Council. (http://www.us-ahtc.org).
Dr. Jared Cohon, President of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), Mr. Morgan O’Brien President/CEO of DQE, a Utility and Energy company, Dr. Mark Nordenberg, President of University of Pittsburgh and Dr. Mulugetta Birru, President of the Pittsburgh Economic & Industrial Development Corporation are also members of the transition team among others.
