Okpoi Gonno residents initiate 2.5 billion cedis projects

Accra, Oct. 23, GNA – The Okpoi Gonno Residents Association at Teshie in Accra has embarked on a 2.5 billion-cedis development project to improve the living standards of the inhabitants.

Members are providing potable water, electricity, clinic, Police station and constructing access roads for the community.

The association has spent over 500 million cedis on the projects, to be completed by the end of next year.

Mr Timothy Ladzekpo, Chairman of the association, announced this at the opening of a three-day Development Planning workshop by the association at Okpoi Gonno, near Teshie in Accra on Thursday. About 20 participants from the association and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) were attending the workshop.

Mr Ladzekpo appealed to the inhabitants to remain committed and help the people to achieve its objective.
