NPP does not encourage personal attacks – Akomea

The Communications Director for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomea, has stated that although the party’s steering committee has not met on Kennedy Agyapong’s alleged derogatory remarks on Electoral Commission boss, Charlotte Osei, it (the party) does not encourage personal attacks.

Speaking on Atinka FM’s AM Drive, Nana Akomea mentioned that nobody encourages personal attacks and stressed on the fact that on issues like the current alleged attack on the EC boss, the party’s steering committee would have to meet and discuss the issue and then come out with their findings.

He however mentioned that personal attacks are not only prevalent in the camp of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) adding that it is only when Kennedy Agyapong speaks that we get to know the intensity of derogatory remarks.

He mentioned that members of other political parties also indulge in derogatory remarks on their members citing the flagbearer of the NPP Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo as the number one victim.

He added that the party’s steering committee will meet and the outcome will be communicated respectively.
