Health Director killed in road crash

Mrs. Roslanphila Kuuzune Derry, the Director of Health Services for Tano North in the Brong-Ahafo Region, last Sunday evening met her untimely death through a road crash.

She died instantly when the Opel Astra Caravan vehicle she was driving crashed into an on-coming Mercedes Benz articulator truck at Abuom, near Bechem in the Tano South District of Brong-Ahafo.

This happened around 1900 Hours.

Police Chief Inspector Francis Addo, Station Officer of the Brong-Ahafo Regional Motto Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD), told the Ghana News Agency in Sunyani that Mrs. Derry was travelling alone from Bechem to Duayaw-Nkwanta in the Tano North when the accident occurred.

The MTTD station officer said the body has been deposited at the St. John of God Catholic Hospital at Duayaw-Nkwanta, pending autopsy while Police investigation continues.
