Man Kills Colleague over Wrap of Wee

Police in Tamale have arrested a 30-yerr old scrap dealer, Abdul Gafaru Amadu for stabbing 25-year old Mugtaru Nurudeen to death over a wrap of wee.

The suspect and the deceased it is gathered, met at a popular ‘Ganja’ joint called Sender in Bilpela, a suburb of the Tamale Metropolis to buy the illicit drug when a mild misunderstanding ensued between them.

It is unclear what actually triggered the misunderstanding but according to police sources, the suspect took a kitchen knife he found at the scene in the course of the misunderstanding, and dared the deceased to come closer.

The deceased, the source explained dashed towards the suspect and he got stabbed on the chest to the surprise of other onlookers at the weed joint.

They however tried to separate them but the suspect had already pierced the knife on the chest of the victim who fell unconscious and started bleed profusely.

The victim was rushed to the Tamale hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

His death however angered his close pals who pounced on the suspect and nearly lynched him but for the timely intervention of some good Samaritans.

He was later handed over to the police who initially took him to the hospital where he was treated and discharged for wounds he sustained as a result of the beatings he received in the hands of friends of the deceased.

Mugtaru Nurudeen is currently in police custody awaiting police interrogation and subsequent appearance before court.

Northern regional Police public Relations Officer (PRO) ASP Ebenezer Tetteh who confirmed the incident to ultimate1069.com, revealed that the Complainant Abdul Wahab Alhassan.
