Standing Joint Negotiation Committee to meet

Accra, Aug. 19, GNA – The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports on Tuesday, announced the resumption of the meetings of the Standing Joint Negotiation Committee comprising the Ministry, the Ministry of Finance and the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG).
A statement issued in Accra and signed by Mr Kwadwo Baah Wiredu, Sector Minister, said the next meeting would take place on Wednesday, August 20 to finalise outstanding issues pertaining to the salaries of UTAG members.
It called on UTAG and the other stakeholders to exercise restraint while efforts were being made to reach a salary structure acceptable to all.
