Mahama attends 53rd anniversary celebration of the Anlo Hogbetsotso festival

President John Dramani Mahama on Saturday, November 7, 2015, joined the chiefs and people of Anloga in the Volta Region to celebrate their annual Hogbetsotso festival.

This year’s Hogbetsotso-Za celebration themed ‘Anlo On The Path To Unity, Peace, Progress And Development,’ saw the Awoamefia of the Anlo State, Torgbi Sri III, welcoming his children and grandchildren across the globe to Anloga, the traditional capital of the Anlo State.

He called on all sons and daughters of the land not to lose sight of the qualities of love, unity, strength and resolve to sustain what kept their forefathers together during their wanderings in the wilderness.

He reminded all Anlos “not to allow history to judge us unkindly and the future generations to mock us and loathe us for squandering our opportunity of the moment for reconciliation, peace, prosperity and development.”

President Mahama, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah among others were present to grace the occasion.
