Ghana to undertake Ebola simulation exercise

Ghana will undertake Ebola simulation exercise to test and strengthen national Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) emergency coordination capacity on October 14, at the Emergency Operating Centre.

A statement signed by Ms Rebecca Ackwonu, the Public Relations Officer, Ghana Health Service (GHS) and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Tuesday said the exercise was part of on-going efforts to strengthen preparedness for Ebola Virus Disease (EVD).

The World Health Organisation (WHO) is collaborating with governments in EVD priority preparedness countries to deliver simulation exercises in order to test and strengthen national emergency coordination capacities.

It would involve Ministry of Health, GHS, National Disaster Management Organisation and other relevant government agencies.
