David Frempong to contest Abuakwa North NDC primary

David Frempong has picked nomination form to contest the Abuakwa North Constituency primary of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) at New Tafo in the Eastern Region.

Mr Frempong, a programme coordinator for the Domestic Lumber Trade Association of Ghana, was incharge of logistics at the regional level of the party when the biometric registration was introduced before the 2012 elections.

He has also served and contributed to the party and people in the East Akim Municipality in many ways.

Speaking to the media, shortly after picking his form, Mr Frimpong said , he believe his enormous contribution to the people in the constituency would propel him to win the primary and contest the 2016 general election on the ticket of the ruling NDC.

He said it is time people change their perception that Abuakwa North is for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr Frempong said, he hope to close the gap between the NDC and the NPP in the previous elections, adding that, he has the support of his opponent’s followers who had promised to vote for him should he get the nod.

He urged members of his party, to refrain from politics of insults, name calling and avoid attacking one another for the party to have a clean campaign and elections to attract more sympathisers.
