Editor of the Al-HAJJ newspaper, Alhaji Bature Iddrisu, has slammed persons who have started questioning the neutrality and competence of the New Chair of the Electoral Commission, Charlotte Osei.
Some pressure groups have spoken against the former NCCE Boss’ appointment.
He told Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM Friday that unless she’s given the opportunity to prove her worth, its difficult to predict the qualities she brings to the table.
He argues that Osei displayed unique leadership attributes while holding the NCCE chairmanship position for almost four years.
” Dr. Afari Gyan didn’t even have one year of public service position, but he was able to manage the job to our satisfaction. We can all attest to that fact.”
Osei, a lawyer with considerable experience in public service management, yesterday got the job as the new Boss of the Commission.
She replaces the retired Dr Kwadwo Afari Gyan.
