A taskforce from the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, with support from the security services have demolished parts of Sodom and Gomorrah, Accra’s biggest slum area.
Accra is reacting to a flooding and fire disaster on June 3. The disaster once again called into question the enforcement of building regulations by city authorities.
