Photos: Farewell durbar held for Afari Gyan

A farewell durbar was held on Monday, June 15 by staff of the Electoral Commission of Ghana for retiring Chairman, Dr Kwadwo Afari Gyan.

Dr Afari Gyan has headed the election-organising body since 1993 and has supervised six successive elections in the country.

He is to retire this month and the durbar was to bid him farewell and celebrate his 70th birthday, which falls on Thursday, June 18.

The ceremony attracted current and retired staff of the Commission.
