Rise above political polarisation – 2nd Lady

The wife of the Vice President Matilda Amissah-Arthur has advised Christians to rise above political polarisation and love each other irrespective of their political affiliation, tribe and social standing.

Addressing the opening ceremony of the 2015 Global Evangelical Church Women’s convention at the Adaklu Wumenu Convention Centre of the Church, in the Volta region, Mrs. Amissah-Arthur called on the women of God to strengthen their relationship with God and remain truthful in every dealings.

She said the role of women puts them in a unique position to be able to mother all who come their way.

Mrs. Amissah-Arthur encouraged women to raise their children with Christian principles so that they grow up to be responsible citizens.

Mrs. Amissah-Arthur said as Christian women “we have been blessed with diverse gifts and the Lord wants us to use these gifts to help others in serving the Lord in our various capacities as women in the church in order to bring glory to the Lord.”

She warned against selfish behaviour, mudslinging and preached for peaceful co-existence with others.
