13 Techiman illegal lottery operators in Police grips

The Brong-Ahafo Regional Lottery Authority with the assistance of the Regional Police Command have arrested 13 suspected illegal lottery operators at Techiman in the Brong Ahafo Region.

They are Godwin Aboagye, 26, Charles Kyere, aged 25, Yusif Shakure, 21, Solomon Boadi, 36, Richard Annor, 26, Eric Agyei 25, and Emmanuel Obeng, 22 years.

The others are Clement Senkyire, aged 40, Osei Kufuor, 52, Benjamin Kwasi Ameyaw, 34, Abubakar Sadik 23, Osei Jones, 21, and Isaka abdul Mummuni, 32 years.

Superintendent Alhaji Maama Arhin, Brong-Ahafo Regional Crime Officer, in a Media briefing on Thursday in Sunyani, said the arrest was affected on Wednesday evening around 1800 hours when they were about to close their sales.

They are now in Police custody and would be processed for court, he added.
