My blue shirt brings Ghana luck – Grant

Ghana coach Avram Grant has revealed he keeps wearing the same blue top because it brings the Black Stars luck in the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Israeli said everyone in Ghana wants him to put on the lucky shirt because it has always brought victory to the team.

The Black Stars have only lost a game so far in the tournament and the ex-Chelsea boss has hinted he will be spotted in the same outfit come Sunday against neighbours Ivory Coast.

“Everybody in Ghana wants me to wear the blue shirt as it is a lucky shirt,” Grant said in a post-match interview. “It is great to be in the final. We want to win the cup, we are playing against a very good team and we will go all out.”

The Black Stars outplayed hosts Equatorial Guinea in a 3-0 victory and will face Ivory Coast in the final at Estadio de Bata on Sunday evening.
