Catholic friendly society donates to orphanage

The Seventh District of the Order of Knights of St John International and Ladies Auxiliary District One has donated food items and cash to the Sirigu Babies Home in the Kassena Nankana District.

The items included fruits, rice, maize, pastries, biscuits, toys, two boxes of key soap, bathing soap and toilet roll and ¢1,000.00.

Noble Sister Victoria Aziriba, Past President of the Ladies Axillary no. 343 presented the items to the caretaker, Rev Sis Innocentia Deb-uur, acknowledged the efforts of the home in taking care of the babies.

She said as a charity society, it was the duty of the order to care of the babies, more especially on an occasions such as Christmas.

Rev Sis Deb-uur thanked the order for having the inmates in mind and coming every year to contribute to the care of the little ones.
